JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven is a tag-team fighting game based on the popular manga and anime series, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. It was published by Bandai Namco Games in 2015 and released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game offers single-player and online multiplayer, but unfortunately no local multiplayer.
Nonetheless, this game is still a very fun fighting game. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven is very similar to other anime fighting games, such as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and One Piece Grand Battle!
Story Mode
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven includes an action-packed, enjoyable story mode. Each character included in the game can be used in the story mode. They can each level up and gain new abilities as you complete different battles and missions in the story mode.
Leveling up the characters also increases their health capacity and attack strength, amongst other upgrades. Winning battles gives you the chance to choose from different character skins and extra colors. The better grade you receive from the battle, the better the rewards are.
Fighting Style
All characters each have their own ‘Style Action’, which is their main special ability. This action is important to how the characters fight in-game. While some style actions act in accordance with the character’s playstyle, other style actions are instead powerful attacks that are limited in use. Each character also has a ‘Battle Style’, which changes their in-game playstyle and different strengths and weaknesses. For example, characters that have the ‘Vampire’ battle style recover damage over time, though this is prevented if their opponent has the ‘Ripple’ battle style. A third attack style is a Dual Heat Attack, which is a team combo that can only be used when the Dual Heat Gauge is full. Some characters can even perform a Special Dual Heat Attack, which creates unique animations, some recreating manga scenes.
Conclusion
Overall, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven provides players with a very fun game filled with loads of content. The game felt so similar to the anime, so those who love the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series will surely enjoy this game. It includes all of the characters in the manga/anime, including the most powerful ones. Though this created unbalanced characters, with some fighters being way stronger than others. Nonetheless, the game provides a plethora of content through its big roster.
The game includes a lengthy story mode that will leave players addicted. However, this mode was not as in-depth and complex as expected to be, especially when compared to the previous installment of the game series. Another issue with the game is the multiplayer gameplay.
Eyes Of Heaven Ps3
Not only does the game not include a local multiplayer option, preventing you from playing with nearby people, but the online multiplayer contains so much lag that it can become unplayable. Overall, while the game has few gameplay and lag issues, it is a very fun and captivating game.
