Radio Shack 43-3105 Intercom System User Manual

Customer Question I have a Radio Shack FM Wireless Intercom System (#43-3105). Not sure if it is wireless or not, actually. I often get static/noise on a unit in the system for no reason that I can determine. Have not been able to find a line filter for sale anywhere. Manuals and free owners instruction pdf guides. This is the 3-Station/3-Channel FM Wireless Intercom, previously known as the Radioshack FM Wireless Intercom, 2-channel, and now known as Advanced 3-Station/3-Channel FM Wireless Intercom - what makes it 'advanced' is not clear.

The unit replaces the model 43-219 and remains 100% compatible. There have been similar models prior to 43-219 that are older and also compatible.

The manufacturer warns that the intercom system might cause TV or radio interference even when it operating properly. This is because the units work by intentionally putting noise in your home electrical system. At the frequency these operate, the noise generally goes unnoticed, however, it is still signal in the electrical system other than the 60Hz AC.

The model uses three AC-Cap Suppresion,0.022uF 275V X2 Polypropylene Film Capacitors which are interference suppressors for across the line applications. The 'bridge' between the AC current and the onboard circuitry begins with these three capacitors. The board itself operates on 10.6V DC. The RF modulation is injected in the power cord from two poles into Black and Green on one and white (common) on the other. The hot and ground are bridged opposite two separate capacitors (2 of the 3 Suppression AC-Caps.)
